Administers, organizes and directs the activities of the Building Office and supervises the enforcement of State building and health codes, Town building ordinances and associated regulations. Analyzes and evaluates building plans, issues building permits and inspects all construction work in progress to assure conformity with plans, codes, and regulations. Graduation from a vocational, high school, or GED equivalent, and two years of post-secondary college or technical instruction in building technology, construction management, or building construction. Five years of experience in general construction and related fields, with a minimum of four years supervisory experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must be certified as a Building Official pursuant to C.G.S. 19-397. Valid State driver’s license required. Full-time position, 37 hours per week. Salary range: $80,000 - $98,500 DOE.
