    Homestead Comfort, located in Ellington, CT has an opening for a Home Energy Services Technician. Candidate should possess the ability to work in a fast-paced environment along with a high degree of integrity, the ability to analyze a variety of problems and work independently. This position requires mature judgment and initiative. Time management and organizational skills are helpful.

    Pay Scale: Depends on Experience    Full-time Position

    Work Hours: 7:00 am-3:30 pm or when the job is finished, overtime as needed
     
    Primary Job Function:
    • Perform air sealing as required in attics, knee wall spaces, basements, crawl spaces and living spaces; this can include standing on ladders, crawling and kneeling in tight spaces
    • All prep work including one-part spray foam, caulking, fireproofing, baffles, filling joist spaces, weather stripping doors, etc.
    • Install energy efficient lightbulbs and water conservation measures where applicable
    • Take proper care of all equipment, tools, inventory and vehicles used to complete jobs
    • Keep job site clean at all times and re-load the truck at the end of each day
    • Perform other duties as assigned
    Required Qualifications:
    • Valid CT driver's license and a clean driving record
    • Ability to carry 50 lbs., climb a 20-foot ladder and work in tight spaces such as attics or crawl spaces which are often hot or cold
    • Good communication skills both oral and written
    • Good work ethic
    • Good basic math skills
    • Reliable transportation
    • A basic set of hand tools, including a portable drill
    • Skilled craftsmanship, neat work habits, quality approach to work
    • Reliability, good interpersonal communication skills
